when you are ready
stand/sit with feet slightly apart
feel your legs rooted deep into mother earth
and you upper body connected high into father sky
imagine your body is your favourite tree
become stronger with each deep breath
you are the tree spirit, dryad of your tree
the guardian of your community…
the animals, bushes, herbs, rivers, rocks
your arms are the branches
intuitively, slowly move your fingers, hands & arms
intuitively, slowly sway your upper body
what can you feel, see, sense, hear?
visualise yourself through each season
expressing your gratitude after each one
Spring…
waking up from a deep sleep, new life everywhere
more light, arrival of birds, cleansing rain
Summer…
the warmth, the vibrancy, the activity, longer days
the connectivity of the community
Autumn…
the strong breeze, the change of colours, the harvest
seeds falling for the next cycle
Winter...
the silence, the calm, the serenity, less light
hibernation, resting, patiently waiting
when you are finished
gently move your legs with your feet still rooted
then stomp each foot on the ground
walk through your day
with with grace and gratitude
